Florian Hohnhorst

Florian Hohnhorst (*1983) studied cultural studies and aesthetic practice with focuses in music, media and theater in Hildesheim and Porto. During his studies, he worked as a production manager and assistant director for, amongst others, Gare du Nord - Bahnhof für Neue Musik and the Paul Sacher Foundation in Basel and has toured as an artistic assistant with Mauricio Kagel's Zwei-Mann-Orchester since 2011. After completing his studies in 2014, he worked in the publicity office of Gare du Nord and ROXY Birsfelden as well as in the capacities of production manager and assistant director for Gare du Nord. As a freelance creator of radio dramas (and the winner of awards during the 2014 and 2017 Leipzig Hörspielsommer festival), he frequently works with the association Zuhören Schweiz. As a dramaturg and production manager, he is a founding member of the KANSAS collective (development of a festival app for the 2017 Treibstoff Theatertage Basel festival) and works, amongst other collaborators, with the group Oh!Darling (Zurich/Basel) and the music theater director Anna Drescher. He has worked as the personal assistant for the director of the Berlin Performing Arts Program since 2018.
