In this workshop, expert Stefanie Frauwallner and her guest Dennis Depta will the participants in an attempt to change their perspectives regarding their artistic projects and see them from the critical standpoint of those responsible for determining who receives funding.
This differentiated view of the effect of one’s own projects can make it easier to formulate text for funding applications and create a higher sense of awareness for the potential impact of one’s own projects.

Artistic work also wants to be organized. Over the course of this workshop, the participants work together to determine what organizational form best suits their own artistic work, how this can be realized - and the consequences that will ultimate result from these choices. In addition, expert Stefanie Frauwallner and her guest Mariella Sterra will lead the participants in directing their collective gazes to the future in order to understand where and how they can anchor their artistic profiles within the cultural landscape.

The information and advisement series Funding Tools - the Classics for Newcomers will provide an overview of the standard funding instruments to which applications can be submitted for Berlin-based projects and productions. Over the course of four individual events, we will successively cover the various funding instruments for Berlin-based artists and culture makers who are looking to make their first funding applications. The events respectively begin with a two-hour introduction to the requirements, timelines and special features of the respective application process. Following this, 30-minute long individual advisement sessions are available in which individual questions and existing project applications can be discussed.

A Basic Overview of Production Management

What does it mean to work as a production manager or to simultaneously assume the production management of one's own artistic project? What basic tasks and expectations are associated with this job? Over the course of this two-day workshop, we will explore the central work areas of the profession on the basis of a sample production management position as well as the praxis-relevant knowledge and instructions, oriented around the questions and everyday production experiences of the participants.
The workshop is intended for emerging production managers or those interested in the professional as well as for artists who simultaneously take on production-relevant, organizational tasks in their work.
