Be Active in Berlin’s Independent Performing Arts Community – Network, Qualification and Exchange.
The Mentoring Programs are intended for art and culture makers of all ages who are either planning on joining Berlin’s independent performing arts community ("Newcomers") or would like to expand their qualifications as a member of the independent performing arts community ("Pro"). In addition to the two mentoring programs "Newcomers" and
"Pro" for performing artists, the mentoring program "Music" is offered in cooperation with initiative neue musik berlin e.V., the KLANGZEITORT Institute for New Music of the Berlin University of the Arts and the Hanns Eisler Berlin Academy of Music for art and culture makers in the field of music/music theater. This year also include the mentoring program "Text" in cooperation with Lettrétage for writers within the independent performing arts community.
The mentees should be based in Berlin for the next three years.
Experienced mentors, including artists working in various fields, production managers and representatives of established independent Berlin performance venues and institutions provide the mentees with intense support over the course of individual sessions for a period of 1.5 years. In addition to this, the mentees will attend workshops, receive support from the coordinators of the PAP Information, Consultation & Qualification program as well as access to the network for the independent performing arts community and all offers of the Performing Arts Program.
