Catherine Launay
Born 1973 in Châtellerault. Lived and worked in Berlin since 1999.
Production manager since 15 years for performance, theater, musical theater, dance and sound art in Berlin and France. Catherine works with artists who cross boundaries and experiment with new forms, especially through types of collaboration and interaction with the audience. Specialized in disseminating interdisciplinary, experimental projects and coordinating such projects, especially between Germany and France.
Worked amongst others with theatre groups: "Les Patries imaginaires", "Roland furieux", "Les ombres portées (France)", production management of "Stimuline", an audio-tactile concert by Lynn Pook and Julien Clauss, of "Wüste Wüste", an experimental opera after Boris Vian. Currently works with the travelling theatre "Ton und Kirschen", with the choreographer Colette Sadler in Berlin, with the choreographer Mathilde Monfreux and the electroacoustic music duo Kristoff K. Roll from France.
Between 2008 to 2013 co-initiator and co-organizer of ‘poetry spring (Printemps des Poètes, Berlin)’ with the artist Nicola Caroli, including in 2010 the project creation of "Poem Space Mobil" in Berlin.
