Artist Presentation: Chris Kondek (in English)

Almost imperceptibly, Chris Kondek has aesthetically revolutionized theater over the last 15 years. 
The dramaturgically complementary video work in the early productions of René Pollesch at the Volksbühne replaced the video projection as statement icon (Christoph Schlingensief) with their play between live transmission and video inserts. His work with Meg Stuart, Stefan Pucher and many others have allowed live transmissions and video inserts to become established, important tools on stage. The film is no longer in competition with the performers, but instead becomes an additional level on their stage. 
As a director (mostly in collaboration with Christiane Kühl), he brings the topics of a globalized Internet society to the theater.
