Recently, contemporary circus has arrived in Germany as a separate and new genre of the performing arts. The interest in exchange and interdisciplinary work is large both on the part of the members of the contemporary circus community as well as on the part of the established disciplines within the performing arts. How can a theoretical and practical exchange work? What resources are available for contemporary circus and how do its production processes function? Can the different paths to production be connected and what can the genres learn from each other?
