Cultural Policy in New Circumstances – How Will Berlin Change?

The results of the elections for Berlin’s House of Representatives on September 18, 2016 will bring new political circumstances with them. Three weeks after the election, members of our community and cultural policymakers will analyse the new options and jointly pose and discuss questions, such as: what would be the consequences of the Alternative for Germany party joining the cultural committee and other bodies? Will there be an urban development plan for culture? How can Berlin be preserved as a highly diverse cultural landscape? What strategies can be pursued?

With representatives from the political sector, Rat für die Künste and the Coalition of the Independent Arts Community

Moderation:
Chang Nai Wen (LAFT Berlin)
Martin Stiefermann (LAFT Berlin)

Participants:
Silvia Fehrmann (Haus der Kulturen der Welt / Rat für die Künste)
Wibke Behrens (Kulturpolitische Gesellschaft / Koalition der Freien Szene)
