Cultural Policy Update – Federal Republic of Germany

In cooperation with Bundesverband Freie Darstellende Künste (BFDK) and Dachverband Tanz Deutschland.

The independent performing arts in Germany are growing together more strongly. The structures of Dachverband Tanz Deutschland (the Umbrella Association of Dance in Germany) and the Bundesverband Freie Darstellende Künste (German Federal Association of the Independent Performing Arts) have made decisive contributions to this development. How do these associations reflect the current developments? What roles do the respective state associations play? Can the independent performing arts community count on receiving increasing funding as a result of the budgetary surplus? What strategies must be mutually pursued here?
