Current Funding Structures in Germany - Results of the Study Conducted by Bundesverband Freie Darstellende Künste (German Federal Association of the Independent Performing Arts)

The landscape of independent dance, theater and performance groups as well as the countless solo artists in Germany is complex and extremely diverse, yet the challenges within the production and working processes is very similar; the exchange and development of shared, precise cultural-political demands, however, requires an understanding of the various funding structure in the various German states. Bundesverband Freie Darstellende Künste has charged itself with the (Herculean) task of comparing these structures in its new study as this is the only way of determining what functions better in one place than another in order to be able to call for specific changes.

In cooperation with Bundesverband Freie Darstellende Künste.

Participants:

Anne-Cathrin Lessel (Bundesverband Freie Darstellende Künste / LOFFT Leipzig)
Martin Heering (Bundesverand Freie Darstellende Künste)
