Up to Eleven – Music on Stage: Somewhere Between a Supporting and Lead Role

The archetypal middle-aged director who tries to spice up their productions by loudly playing the pop songs that were relevant in their youth has become a seldom occurrence. Members of Berlin’s music community are increasingly collaborating with performing artists and working in very exciting cooperations which interweave the performing arts with music; often with a great deal of international visibility. Composers and musicians reflect upon these developments and provide insight into opportunities and future plans.
