Making Art Outside of the Funding Application Culture?

More than a few intriguing concepts are collecting dust in virtual “desk drawers" because applications to fund them were never made or were rejected. How could projects be realized despite this? What other options exist besides applying for public funding? Are sponsoring, patronage and crowdfunding adequate alternatives? What new systems could we create and what may already exist?

Katharina von Wilcke presents the ideas and approaches developed within a workshop of the Performing Arts Program. Afterward, the participants can share their experiences and ideas in an open exchange format.
