Prof. Dr. Frank Adloff: The Convivialists

The global problems of climate change, poverty, social inequality or the global financial crisis require new forms of thinking and change forms of living together. Many movements, initiatives and groups are currently searching for alternative paths. What all of them have in common is the desire for a new art of living together (con-vivere).

Since the year 2010, an increasing number of scholars began debating the actuality of conviviality and convivialism and started a discussion about the undesirable developments of contemporary societies that connect a criticism of capitalism with concepts for a new definition of wealth and prosperity. Frank Adloff published the German version of the convivialist manifesto.
