The Sensible Archiving of the Ephemeral - New Opportunities for Artists and Works
Video footage of dance and theater productions are poorly suited for authentically communicating the performing arts. The opportunity of digital archiving techniques, however, offers new archival and dramaturgical possibilities: thematic and associatively curated paths can quickly be found through comprehensive video archives, the internet offers the opportunity to visit archives regardless of their physical location and much more.
