Art has once again changed categorically since the 1990s: it is media art. While the art and art production of the 20th century is generally marked by interferences with the media, the establishment of the Internet as a medium has presented artistic work with a set of completely changed prerequisites. The workshop will examine the interfaces between art and technology as well as those between art production and media usage which is linked to digital networking. It will also present current digital and Internet policy discourses which play a critical role for the work of artists.
