Accessibility
The 10th Industry Get-Together of the Independent Performing Arts Community takes place in the premises of Theater Strahl am Ostkreuz and the Jugendherberge am Ostkreuz.
Due to delays that have arisen during construction, we are, unfortunately, only able to use the space of Theater Strahl in a restricted manner. This, in turn, unfortunately affects the accessibility of the event location in terms of wheelchair accessibility. You can find additional information about this below.
Some Notes on the Events
The conference consists of presentations, panel discussions, discussion formats, workshops, a performance venue tour by bicycle, a ping-pong format and additional programming which can be academic, practice-oriented, serious or relaxed.
Complete silence is not expected during the events. However, there can be a very intense or very concentrated atmosphere when serious topics are being discussed.
Anyone who needs a break can leave an event at any time.
No loud music will be played except for during individual sequences in the workshops and during the party on Friday evening.
Awareness
With the awareness concept, we want to help to make sure that all of the participants, visitors, colleagues and additional people involved in our conference feel comfortable and are able to easily enter into conversation with each other.
Please be attentive when dealing with each other so that we can create a place of mutual respect together. If you do, however, experience discrimination during the conference, please contact our team for support. All members of the team have been informed in advance about dealing with discrimination or other incidents, can be easily recognized by the sticker each wears and can be addressed at any time.
If you have any questions or feedback, you can also contact us via email or telephone at: branchentreff [at] pap-berlin.de or +49 (0)30/ 20 45 979 00.
Accessibility in the Locations
The premises of Theater Strahl are still under construction in some areas. The theater auditorium we are using in the former gymnasium is located on the ground floor, but some steps mean that it is not accessible for wheelchair users. In addition, there are no barrier-free bathroom facilities in the building of Theater Strahl.
The premises of the Jugendherberge am Ostkreuz in the neighboring conference building are accessible for wheelchair users by using either a platform lift or an elevator. There are bathroom facilities suitable for wheelchair users in the building of the Jugendherberge am Ostkreuz.
Some beanbag chairs are available. Please let us know if you would like a beanbag chair in one of the rooms.
Hygienic Measures
We hope that the state of the pandemic will continue to be relaxed. We do, however, want to be careful and will be following the hygienic measures of Theater Strahl and the Jugendherberge am Ostkreuz.
There are currently no requirements to wear a mask or take a COVID-19 test. We would, however, like to encourage all of our visitors and participants to test themselves before attending and to wear an FF2 mask or medical mask indoors if the minimum safety distance of 2 meters cannot be complied with. This will apply especially to the workshops as some of these take place in small seminar rooms. We ask all attendees to deal considerately with the different needs of individual participants.
We update our hygienic measures and recommendations regularly and also provide information regarding this via email.
Streaming and Documentation
There is the option of following some of the events remotely via livestreams for anyone who cannot or does not want to attend physically. In addition, we will also do our best to place documentation of as many of the permanently relevant events online afterward.
You can find the link for streaming and more information here.
Childcare
On Saturday, Oct. 22, the little ones are also on the agenda. While the adults enjoy the last meetings and exchange rounds, the children spend a nice time in the child care. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the little visitors will be able to do handicrafts, paint, draw and play together with the caregivers of the Pünktchen agency!
The childcare room is located in the seminar building of the youth hostel, room 2, 1st floor. Directions are available at the accreditation desk.
The room is equipped with all necessary safety measures.
There are two supervisors on site for a maximum group size of 10 children. We kindly ask you to register for the childcare by mail or phone including the age of the child/children to:

There are no visitor parking spaces for cars on the premises at Ostkreuz. In the parking garage of the Victoria center shopping center directly across the street, parking costs 1 EUR for each hour commenced. In the sense of ecological sustainability, however, we recommend traveling via bicycle or via public transportation.
There are bicycle parking spaces on the premises.

Limited Number of Spots and Commitment
The number of participants for events taking place with physical attendance is limited, especially for smaller workshop formats. Your participation is only guaranteed if you have received a confirmation after your registration. As a result, we ask you explicitly to honor your registrations and to inform us that you are not coming if something happens in a timely manner (at least 2 days before the event).
There will be waiting lists for all events with physical attendance and we will try to react to fluctuations in attendance. Thank you very much for your understanding and for your assistance!
Accreditation
After your registration has been confirmed, please go to the accreditation table as soon as you arrive at the event location. Team members will be available here to answer questions and provide information about the Industry Get-Together - and the same is true for the entire team of the Berlin Performing Arts Program, of course.
Documentation
We expressly inform you that most of the events of the Industry Get-Together will be documented with photos, audio recordings and videos and that the resulting images will be published as part of the documentation and advertising. If you do not want to appear in the documentation, we ask you to please let us know at the beginning of the respective event.
Refreshments + Breaks
Coffee, tea, water, fruit and baked goods will available throughout the entire event. In addition, we have planned longer breaks and will offer a small lunch each day. There will also be dinner on Thursday and Friday. All meals are either vegetarian or vegan.
Is there any information missing?
We make our best effort to ensure that our event and services are as accessible as possible and are grateful to receive information about things we have overseen and opportunities for improvement.
Please feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions, feedback or needs that have not been addressed here!
We are constantly working to remove as many barriers as possible and are very open to criticism and suggestions.
