The Touring Office supports the interregional and international visibility of the members, initiatives and organizations of Berlin’s independent performing arts community. In doing so, the focus is placed on empowering the members of the community to independently develop a strong presence.

We are represented at national and international conferences and networking events and provide insight into Berlin’s independent performing arts community on these occasions. Artists and members of the community are invited in advance via open calls to present themselves and their work at shared trade fair stands.

We continue to participate all across Europe in conferences and networking events such as the IETM plenary meetings. Alongside the maintenance and expansion of existing networks, we also always keep an eye open for future cooperation and distribution opportunities for the independent performing arts community. Over the course of exchange projects such as PRALIN, between Prague and Berlin, we offer a variety of exchange formats such as the staff exchanges or delegation trips to the larger festival and industry events in the respective other community.

Our annual symposium provides practical knowledge regarding the topics of touring and distribution to producers, managers, other parties responsible for distribution as well as interested artists. Alongside the specific networking effects, these symposia also help to transfer knowledge.

Beyond our symposia, we make this knowledge accessible online via a touring FAQ that is constantly updated and is explicitly intended for members of the community with less experience.
