2nd Performersion International 2021 - Day 2
2nd Performersion International 2021 - Day 2
Over the last weeks and months, artists, coders and audiences have tested out and refined an impressive number of completely new formats. From intimate 1:1 dialogues to events with up to 3,000 visitors in one space and from one-week-long digital endurance performances to 15-second video clips: the formats abandon the unities of time, space, performers and audience. The artistic and technical knowledge that has been newly acquired and exchanged in doing so is enormous.
On April 22, together with Technologiestiftung Berlin, we invite you to enter into exchanges with IT and ICT specialists from the independent arts community and Berlin’s cultural institutions. They all faced extreme challenges over the course of the last year. They conducted digital revolutions in many institutions and groups, often at breakneck speed: they provided advice about the use of video conferencing software, set up VPNs, found providers in conformity with the GDPR, attempted to obtain legally-binding information about the Cloud Act, checked the work of external service providers and much, much more. Regardless of whether we are talking about a small project space or a large museum, digital competence and resources have proven themselves to be critical infrastructure factors in these times of a global pandemic.

IT in Berlin’s Cultural Institutions – the Exchange Meeting
In cooperation with Technologiestiftung Berlin.
With input from:
Sarah Reihamnn (HAU Hebbel am Ufer): The Founding of the Digital HAU4 (inquired); Wolfgang Roese (ORSO Chor): Then We’ll Just Do It Ourselves! - How We Developed Our Own Open Source Orchestra Management System and other speakers.
Following this, the guests will come together in informal small groups to discuss a wide variety of topics in a lightly moderated format. This direct exchange is important to us and we want to be sure to nurture and perpetuate this. To facilitate this, we are inviting the attendees to join us on the roof terrace of Technologiestiftung Berlin for an IRL event on a date to be determined in the future.
The events and experiences offered during the first Performersion event in February of this year were booked out very quickly, which is why we strongly recommend that you register as early as possible and let us know which days and which workshops you would like to attend: performersion [at] pap-berlin.de.
