AI in the Theater: Potenials, Risks and Useful Tools **
AI in the Theater: Potenials, Risks and Useful Tools **
Artificial intelligence is quickly changing work in the cultural sector and contains challenges and risks as well as countless potentials. In this workshop, we will show you how artists and culture makers use AI tools for the often-invisible organizational work behind artistic practice. At the same time, we will critically reflect upon ethical questions and practical pitfalls: for example, funding applications created with AI often seem interchangeable and repetitive or contain clear errors, which costs jurors as well as applicants time and opportunities.
The participants will become acquainted with practical AI tools and will try out methods for using them effectively and responsibly. Together, we will create strategies for how AI can actually save time and enrich processes, without endangering originality and authenticity. We will look at how it can be supportive for funding applications, project suggestions and administrative tasks as well as ease communication, budgeting and accounting as well as research and the organization of information.
We will compare various AI tools and automated systems to find out which ones can actually be adapated to our individual needs. To do so, we will experiment with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and other AI-based systems. The goal is to understand AI not as a threat but instead as a “super assistant” – a tool that can support creativity and efficiency.
In English spoken language, it is possible to ask questions and make comments using German and Russian spoken language
