Audience Building and Promotion Tools
For many artists, communicating their own artistic projects and concepts well poses a real challenge: a lack of knowledge regarding effective marketing methods and the frequent lack of desire to have to deal with the marketing in addition to the creation of the art makes it difficult to establish connections with the audience. Using various simple practice of audience building, however, viable and sustainable cooperations can be established and a core audience can be generated successively.
In this workshop, we will take a look at a variety of offline and online media – from classic paper flyers to social media postings – that are suitable for the current state of the artistic work. What communication methods are there? Which of them is it worth investing in? Which tend to require a cooperation? The participants will try out a variety of tools, receive an overview of different advertising tools and will explore the possible paths of communication between their work and their potential audiences.
In English spoken language, it is possible to ask questions and make comments using Portuguese and German spoken language.
