Culture Meets Community: Setting the Stage for Connection

How can cooperations between the fields of culture and community be successful? What is required for collaborations that take place at eye-level? And how can joint ideas be financed?

Culture Meets Community is starting its second round – and we warmly invite you to join us.

After a successful start in February, the second networking event once again offers members of the independent performing arts community the opportunity to discuss work taking place at the intersection of culture and community with colleagues. We bring culture makers and social organizations together, make successful cooperations visible and create space for new connections to be made.

Schedule of Events

To get things started, KulturLeben Berlin – Schlüssel zur Kultur e. V. and Theater der Erfahrung im Nachbarschaftsheim Schöneberg e. V. will provide insight into their practice and provide their perspectives on cooperations between culture and community work. In addition, we will present some funding opportunities for shared projects.

After this, four theme tables will examine questions that have become important for the practical work:

1. How do people receive access to cultural opportunities?
2. What is necessary for intergenerational culture projects?
3. What financing has to be thought about early on?
4. What makes a cooperation fair and sustainable?

This event will take place in German spoken language. KulturMarktHalle is accessible for wheelchair users. Bathroom facilities for wheelchair users are available. The building does not have sufficient markers for participants who are visually impaired.
