Data Safety for Operational Data Protection Officers

In this workshop, the foundations of the data privacy regulations in accordance with the Datenschutzgrundverordnung (DSGVO, known in English as the GDPR, the General Data Protection Regulation) and the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, the German Federal Data Protection Act, will be dealt with. In doing so, not only will the legal regulations regarding the appointment of the operational data protection be explained; in addition, the foundations for data processing, information responsibilities, the creation of a processing register as well as the use of email newsletter in conformity with the law or the use of images of persons (event photos) will also be covered. The discussion of data protection questions regarding social medial presences and the use of AI as well as possible penalty procedures and liability risks of the data protection officer are also intended to be discussed.

This workshop is intended for event organizers, managers of performance venues and other persons who take on the role of the data protection officer in similar contexts.
