The Expert’s Lounge: Moderation Techniques for Cultural Events (fully booked)
The Expert’s Lounge: Moderation Techniques for Cultural Events (fully booked)
The moderation of workshops, panels or rounds of discussions is part of the professional everyday life of many theater makers and can also be a great deal of fun, if one feels confident within this position. The various formats, however, call for very different abilities and expertises in the preparations, interaction and in “reading the room”. This workshop will provide insight into exchange formats and moderation techniques that will allow the participants to converse with each other in a manner that is both respectful while at the same time being rich in content. When can I allow discussions to “run free” and when should I intervene? The workshop is dedicated to these and many other questions in a mixture of individual reflection, peer-to-peer exchange and a plenary discussion with methods taken from systemic coaching and theater mediation.
