How To: Produce Accessibly – Audio Description
How To: Produce Accessibly – Audio Description
What is an audio description and what forms exist? What does one cost and what does the creation process look like? How do you make an audio flyer and what is a tactile tour? This short workshop providesan overview and ideas for how blind and visually impaired audience members can receive access to cultural events. The participants will learn how audio descriptions can be developed in co-authorship with blind and seeing people, which points of contact exist, how they are calculated and which projects they are (not) suitable for and which alternatives exist.
The workshop is intended for newcomers as well as experienced culture makers with little or no prior experience in accessible opportunities for blind and visually impaired audience members.
The workshop does not provide an introduction to the profession of audio describer, but rather conveys information for producers and artists in the performing arts who would like to integrate audio description as an offering for their audiences.
In German spoken language, it is possible to ask questions and make comments using English spoken language
