How To: Tool Box Mediation - Practical Knowledge for Participatory Formats

In this workshop, culture makers will work in a solution-oriented manner on mastering the typical challenges of communication work: realizing projects under less than ideal conditions, making content accessible, balancing different needs as well as keeping problems and conflicts “in the room”. The central focus is the question of which practical strategies help to plan, realized and conclude projects responsibly.

After a shared introduction, points of focus will be determined in small groups and case studies from the participants’ own practice will be analyzed. Proven methods from art communication and participatory art as well as the experiences of the participants will be used in order to develop specific guidelines. At the end, the tool kits thus elaborated will be bundled and shared in the larger group.

The workshop is intended for culture makers with initial or deeper experience in communication work, the leading of groups or moderation.
