Kick-Off Event: ACCESS – Easing Access to Cultural Funding in Berlin

Do you keep coming up against barriers again and again when trying to gain access to funding as artists and culture makers with different abilities or deaf artists and culture makers? Are you looking for support in conducting research into funding opportunities within the performing arts and with putting together the applications? Do you have additional expenses for assistance and materials for the application process? Are you on the lookout for accessible further education and networking opportunities for your next project?

With ACCESS – Easing Access to Cultural Funding in Berlin, we at the Berlin Performing Arts Program have developed a project in cooperation with Diversity Arts Culture and in coordination with Berlin’s Senate Department for Culture and Community whose goal is to support you individually, practically and in accordance with your needs over the course of your applying for funding from Berlin’s Senate.

Beginning in June 2024, you will be able to sign up using a supplementary barrier-free contact form. Together, the needs will then be determined and solutions will be looked for. In doing so, access costs such as, for example, interpretation into German Sign Language (DGS), that arise will be able to be covered. As a supplement to this, the ongoing advisement opportunities and workshops offered by the Berlin Performing Arts Program and Diversity Arts Culture are also available.

We are very much looking forward to presenting the project to you as well as being able to answer any questions you may have and ask you to please send an informal registration by May 28, 2024 to: access [at] pap-berlin.de.

In German spoken language and in German Sign Language (DGS)

"ACCESS – Easing Access to Cultural Funding in Berlin" is funded by Berlin’s Senate Department for Culture and Community and the European Social Fund ESF+ as part of the project “PAP – BECOME Zukunftsfähig und resilient in den freien darstellenden Künsten”.

Please register by June 3 to:
