From Movement Into Motion. Productively Mastering Professional Transformations. (Part 1/3)
From Movement Into Motion. Productively Mastering Professional Transformations. (Part 1/3)
It is only a very small number of artists and culture makers who can (or will!) pursue their professional with a lifetime of continuity and exclusivity. Artistic careers are often supported by the so-called second leg to stand on and which is often seen as a burden, sometimes as an inspiration or compensation, but, in general, always as an indispensable support. But what happens, however, when critical events and changes in one’s life require one’s career to be reconsidered and redefined? What happens when starting a family, physical restrictions or newly arising needs cause that second leg to stand on to become the first? How can a professional transition be made successfully which allows a proximity to one’s actual artistic, movement-oriented vocation and which integrates abilities and skills that have been built up and honed over a long period of time? How can we undergo a change in profession and still maintain our artistic identity?
In this workshop, we will explore fields and professional options that allow people who are active in the artistic movement to continue to use their physical abilities and knowledge and use them to forge new career paths.
