Open Call: Be a Part of the Berlin Delegation to the Malá inventura Festival in Prague

Artists and culture makers within Berlin’s independent performing arts community are once again invited next year to attend the Malá inventura festival in Prague as part of the exchange project PRALIN. The members of the Berlin delegation have the opportunity to enter into exchanges on-site with members of Prague’s independent performing arts community as well as to receive an insight into the independent performing arts in  Prague and the Czech Republic. We look forward to your applications to be part a of the Berlin delegation to Prague from February 19 to 22, 2021.

Every February, the Malá inventura festival presents a selection of productions from the independent performing arts community of Prague as well as the Czech Republic that were created the previous year. The festival is organized by the Prague-based culture initiative Nová Sít‘. 2021 the already 19th edition will take place.

What is included for members of the delegation to the Malá inventura festival?

• Travel expenses Berlin – Prague – Berlin
• Accommodation from February 19 to 22, 2021
• Tickets for all of the performances presented at the festival
• Participation in various networking events

If the festival is unable to take place as planned due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the members of the delegation will receive access to the digital replacement events as well as subtitled recordings of selected performances.

Who can apply?

This open call is intended for all members of Berlin’s independent performing arts community. We look forward to applications from directors of festivals and performance venues, curators, critics, dramaturgs as well as artists.

Please send us a brief overview of your work within Berlin’s independent performing arts community (please include links to websites, if possible), a description of your interest in Prague’s independent performing arts community and potential contact requests or project ideas in Prague (max. one page) as well as your contact information by January 10, at the latest.
