About Selected Works Festival (Det Frie Felts Festival)

Selected Works Festival (Det Frie Felts Festival) was founded in 2014. Taking place in Copenhagen and Aarhus, the festival presents a wide range of independent performing arts and aims to increase the visibility of artists and their work created independently and outside institutional structures. The programme features both emerging and experienced artists with diverse backgrounds, references, and skills, as well as experimental forms of expression. The artists work in areas such as choreography, physical theater, dramatic texts, performance art, sound art, and visual arts. Alongside its artistic programme, the festival provides space for artistic exchange, new collaborations and international networking.
