Open Call: Shared Trade Fair Stand at the 2027 Internationale Kulturbörse Freiburg (IKF, or Freiburg International Culture Exchange)

We are on the lookout for artists, producers and venue operators who would like to travel with us to the Internationale Kulturbörse Freiburg (IKF) from January 26 to 27, 2027 and be part of the shared trade fair stand of the Berlin Performing Arts Program.

About Internationale Kulturbörse Freiburg

The IKF is the largest professional trade fair in the German-speaking world for stage productions, music and events with showcases, a comprehensive exhibition area and a diverse schedule of programming. The majority of the professional visitors attending the IKF are event organizers, agents, event professionals, festival directors and producers. In addition, numerous exhibitors present themselves in the exhibition hall, which is larger than 6,000 square meters, marketing their artists and providing information about the newest trends and developments in the culture industry. The Berlin Performing Arts Program will be represented by a shared trade fair stand and is offering Berlin-based artists the opportunity to present themselves and their work there.

Who Is This Call Intended For?

A prerequisite for taking part in the shared trade fair stand is a long history of professional work within the independent performing arts and a primary residence in Berlin, at least as a workplace. In addition, each participant must have at least one production that has already premiered and is capable of being toured that can be presented at the trade fair with corresponding print and possibly video trailer material.

Application

Anyone who would like to take part is asked to please send a binding application as a PDF file including links with informative digital promotional material (trailer, websites, flyers, et cetera). Please use SwissTransfer to send large files. Important Notes:

• The Berlin Performing Arts Program will cover the costs of the stand for the trade fair as well as the admission tickets to the trade fair. The participants must organize and cover the costs for travel and accommodation themselves. 
• An information event followed by a preparatory workshop for the shared trade fair stand will be held on November 30, 2026 from 10 am to 12 pm. Taking part in this event is a mandatory requirement for exhibiting at the shared trade fair stand.
• We would like to give as many members of the community as possible the opportunity to take part. We do reserve the right to make a selection on the basis of the promotional material provided in the event that there are more applicants than there is space.
