Open Call: Shared Trade Fair Stand at the Internationale Kulturbörse in Freiburg (IKF)

We are looking for artists, producers and venue operators who would like to travel with us to the International Kulturbörse Freiburg (IKF) from January 20 to 22, 2025 and be part of the joint booth of the Performing Arts Program Berlin.

The International Kulturbörse Freiburg (IKF) is the largest trade fair in the German-speaking world for stage productions, music and events with live performances, an extensive exhibition area and a diverse program. Every year in January, the cultural industry looks to Freiburg with anticipation when international artists and ensembles from the fields of performing arts, music and street theater show live excerpts from their current programs to the professional audience. The majority of trade visitors to the IKF are promoters, agents, event professionals, festival organizers and producers. In addition, numerous exhibitors present themselves in the exhibition hall on more than 6,000m² and market their artists and inform about the latest trends and developments in the cultural industry.
The Berlin Performing Arts Program will be represented by a shared trade fair stand and is offering Berlin-based artists the opportunity to present themselves and their work there.

Who is the call aimed at?

A prerequisite for taking part in the shared trade fair stand is a long history of professional work within the independent performing arts and a primary residence/working location in Berlin. In addition, each participant must have at least one production that has already premiered and is capable of being toured that can be presented at the trade fair with corresponding print and possibly video trailer material.

Application

Anyone who would like to take part is asked to please send a binding application including links with informative digital promotional material (trailer, websites, flyers in PDF form, et cetera - and please send large files via Wetransfer) via E-mail with the subject „Application: IKF“ by November 25, 2024 to: belen.marinato [at] pap-berlin.de

Note:

We would like to give as many artists as possible the option of taking part, but we do reserve the right to make a selection on the basis of the promotional material provided in the event that there are more applicants than there is space.
