Open Call: Shared Trade Fair Stand at the internationale tanzmesse nrw

The internationale tanzmesse nrw (the North-Rhine Westphalia International Dance Trade Fair) is put on by the nrw landesbuero tanz (the North-Rhine Westphalia State Office for Dance) and is the largest professional meeting for contemporary dance. This dance trade fair is an important meeting place for international dancers and dance makers as a forum for exchange, the transfer of knowledge and networking. The up to 2,000 international presenters and visitors come to Düsseldorf every two years at the end of August and present a wide spectrum of aesthetic styles as well as artistic practices.

The tanzmesse nrw takes place from August 28 to 31, 2024 in Düsseldorf and invites professional contemporary dancers, members of the dance community and organizations working in the field of dance to submit proposals for the performance programming of the 2024 edition. As is the case every year, the Berlin Performing Arts Program will once again be represented with a shared trade fair stand at the 2024 edition of the internationalen tanzmesse nrw (the North Rhine-Westphalia International Dance Trade Fair) in Düsseldorf.
 

Application

A prerequisite for taking part is a long history of professional work within the independent performing arts and a primary residence in Berlin. In addition, each participant must have at least one production that has already premiered and is capable of being toured that can be presented at the trade fair with corresponding print and possibly video trailer material (max. three minutes in length).

We would like to give as many artists as possible the opportunity to take part. We do, however, reserve the right to make a selection on the basis of the promotional material provided in the event that there are more applicants than there is space.

Anyone who would like to take part is asked to please send a binding application including links with informative digital promotional material (trailer, websites, flyers in PDF form, et cetera - and please send large files in the form of a link to download the files) with the subject “internationale tanzmesse nrw” by March 28, 2024 to: catherine.launay [at] pap-berlin.de.

In advance Network meeting

In addition to our shared trade fair stand, we will be offering a network meeting for producers, managers, agents and distributors in August 2024, in cooperation with the internationalen tanzmesse nrw, InfoPlus/Dachverband Tanz Deutschland und produktionsbande - netzwerk performing arts producers.
