Our Path to an Archive – Information Event About the Digital Archive of the Independent Performing Arts
Do you want your work to be preserved for posterity? But are you not sure how to do so and using what resources? Together with the Initiative für die Archive der Freien Darstellenden Künste e.V., the association for an initiative for the archive of the independent performing arts, we would like to support you on the way to creating an archive.
Anyone who is interested in archiving their own practice and would like to know how their own materials can be prepared for this, what is necessary and whether an application for a pilot project for a digitalization project could be considered is warmly invited to our information event on January 18, 2024.
Together we will talk about new, decentralized forms of archivization and your next specific steps on the way to archiving your work: Juliane Gorke (a member of the performance collective hannsjana) will offer a keynote presentation about the power of the archive in basic questions. The team of the project digital archive of the independent performing arts will present its project and tell you how you can get your materials ready to be archived. Anja Müller and Xenia Kitaeva from the Forschungs- und Kompetenzzentrum Digitalisierung Berlin (the Berlin Research and Competence Center for Digitalization, or digiS) will explain how funds for digitalization projects can be applied for in their funding program. You can find more information about the digital archive at: https://www.theaterarchiv.org/home#c98.
