Parenthood in the Arts: Strategies for Inner Strength in the Daily Trials

The stop-and-go between final rehearsals, sick children, school holidays and vacation is something that many parents who are artistically active find draining. Despite good self-organization, there is never enough time and the goals that have been set often cannot be achieved. What is primarily left over from this is the feeling of not satisfactorily doing anything for anyone. What does being a parent do with me and with my art? What do I need in order to be able to work creatively? Before the summer break, we will meet up live and in person one more time to find strategies for healthy boundaries, self-care and successful family organization. In addition, as always, there will be sufficient space for exchange, networking and mutual advising. The event is primarily intended for parents within Berlin’s independent performing arts community who are artistically active, but other interested artists are also warmly invited.
