#performingsafety.

Kick-off information and exchange event

We are very pleased to be able to support the production spaces and presentation spaces within the independent performing arts community during their reopening processes and provide them with individual support over the course of our project #performingsafety. During monthly exchange formats, we would like to the support the solidary transfer of knowledge and we will dedicate ourselves to the most urgent questions over the course of digital workshops. Thanks to funding provided by the Senate Department for Culture and Europe of the State of Berlin, the costs for consulting physicians and occupational safety experts can be covered.

#performingsafety is explicitly intended for production spaces and presentation spaces of all forms and working in all genres of the performing and performative arts in Berlin. Presenting organizations without their own permanent locations that offer work in a decentralized manner or work in public space are explicitly included. Representatives from other artistic genres that plan performative programming elements or external colleagues are also, of course, welcome.

At the kick-off event on September 21, we want to exchange information about the current status and generate knowledge from the experiences of the past months: How can the current challenges facing free venues be overcome? What do I need to know and consider if I want to present my project in the near future? What demands does the current basic hygiene concept of Berlin’s Senate place on artists and organizers?

In addition, we will introduce the workshops planned as part of #performingsafety, collect additional topics from the participants and provide information regarding individual support and the ability to cover costs.

In order to attend, please send an email by September 23, 2020, at the latest, to: performing.safety [at] pap-berlin.de ()

The event will take place online and will be in German, but participants are welcome to ask questions in English. Access to the digital space will be provided upon registration.
