ROUND TABLE Circus: Ableism in Contemporary Circus
ROUND TABLE Circus: Ableism in Contemporary Circus
Moderated by: Kathrin Wagner (circus artist, Bundesverband Zeitgenössischer Zirkus BUZZ), Speaker: Anna-Katharina Andrees (circus artist, co-founder of the Zentrum für bewegte Kunst e.V.)
Production and creative conditions are also marked by ableism and obstacles to access for people with disabilities in the field of contemporary circus as well. How are people with visible and invisible illnesses represented? What do successful collaborations look like? How do organizational structures deal with unequal treatment and how are discriminations made visible and how is awareness about them raised sustainably? The critical exchange regarding the visibility of ableism and representation is the topic of this 3rd ROUND TABLE Circus, which the Berlin-based BUZZ and the Information Center of the Berlin Performing Arts Program invite you to attend. Following an impulse lecture, all guests are cordially invited to exchange ideas.
In German spoken language.
This event is a cooperation between PAP - Neue Wege and Bundesverband Zeitgenössischer Zirkus / BUZZ e.V.
Limited number of participants; please register by March, 24 to: beratung [at] pap-berlin.de
