While completing their Master’s in physical theatre, Ash Willison and Lisa Ullrich decided to pursue their dream of being in a band, performing their collection of original songs instead of presenting their theses. Thus, Band Practice was formed: a performance duo combining music, improv, clowning, and movement. They explore alternative comedy, testing the limits of conventional forms to create new perspectives through humor. While they share similarities, Lisa and Ash are not related.

As an autodidactic theater maker and social scientist, Fatima combines well-founded research with the lightness of pop-literature texts. Her work is characterized by humorous punchlines, polemic emphases and feminist perspectives – Theater der Zeit called her a “clever feminist”. In Faserland-Boys und Ich (Faserland Boys and Me, Ballhaus Ost, 2024), she reflected on the superficiality of academic men. Fatima’s focus is placed on the connection between intellectual aspiration and emotional accessibility, supported by an installation-based and choreographic aesthetic.

Silvia Ospina's artistic work reveals a diasporic, Andean and translocal biography; a coming and going between Europe and Abya Yala, dance and video, mythology and feminism. She crosses physical and academic borders, drawing on contributions from popular art and contemporary philosophy from the global South, to recognize plural perspectives of the body and dance, which, in her work, enable an intersectional dialogue between territories, times and expressions.
