Judgement and Participation

Which exclusionary assessment criteria underlie our concept of quality? Which quality judgements are silently determined due to western hegemonic discourse? How can new, diverse perspectives and aesthetic even be recognized within an aesthetic canon which is continuously reproduced by a small group of decision makers? A critical historical summary of our canon, with the goal of identifying perspectives and paths through which the discussion of the concept of quality can lead to even more diversity and participation within the performing arts.
