Information Center

Information Center

Our Information Center is the central point of contact for all questions concerning artistic work as a freelancer as well as questions concerning production and funding opportunities. Artists and culture makers working within the independent performing arts community will find support here that is free of charge.

We advise and qualify both newcomers as well as experienced members of the independent performing arts community in Berlin. This takes place through advisement sessions that address individual questions as well as through a wide-ranging program of workshops and seminar series. The small group workshops in the How To… series provide insight into a specific topic in a compact form as well as space for an exchange of knowledge amongst the participants.
In our events for the qualification of experts, we invite instructors, mentors and advisers to deepen their competencies and network with each other.

All of the currently planned workshops, seminars and other qualification and networking opportunities can always be found in the event calendar. Additional information about our instructors and advisers as well as about the topic of support for transnational members of the community can also be found on this website.

Registration & Signing Up For Events

We ask you to please sign up to attend all advisement and qualification opportunities at least one week in advance via email by sending a mail to beratung [at] pap-berlin.de (). If you are requesting an advisement session or are signing up for the format How To…, we ask you to please let us know what your specific questions are in advance.

Please note: If you are signing up to attend an event for the first time, you also have to formally register yourself with the program. Thanks to funding provided by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and Berlin’s Senate Department for Culture and Community, our opportunities and events are free of charge. Because of this funding, we are obligated to register all of the participants. You will receive all of the necessary information regarding this via email following your first event registration with us. Please bear in mind that many events have a limited number of participants and for this reason, we cannot always guarantee that there will be space for you to attend a specific event.

Barriers to Accessibility

We generally cannot provide interpretation into German sign language and/or transcriptions. Unfortunately, we cannot provide childcare at our formats. In order to be able to orient ourselves more strongly around the needs of the participants in the future, we ask you to please inform us of your needs via email or telephone.

Do you encounter technical and non-technical barriers as a disabled, chronically ill, neurodivergent or deaf artist or culture maker when submitting applications for project fundings and stipends to Berlin’s Senate? With the pilot project ACCESS – Easing Access to Cultural Funding in Berlin, we will accompany you individually, practically and in accordance with your needs. In doing so, we cover the possible expenses that can occur for assistance or technical aids over the course of the application process. If you have any needs, please simply let us know by using the following form. A member of our team will process your inquiry and get in touch with you.
