The Marketplace of Possibilities: Sustainable Togetherness in the Independent Performing Arts

How can rehearsal and work spaces, stage and costumes designs, tools or also idea be used better in the future within the independent performing arts? What contribution to an ecological as well as socially  more sustainable form of producing can the shared use of material and immaterial resources make? Which initiatives and people are already active in Berlin? How can we better network ourselves?

During the event Marketplace of Possibilities - Sustainable Togetherness in the Independent Performing Arts that we are organizing together with the Bundesverband Freie Darstellende Künste, the German Federal Association for the Independent Performing Arts, and the network “Performing For Future” we want to discuss the sharing of resources in the independent performing arts on April 17 in Haus der Statistik. The goal is stronger networking as well as having a discussion regarding how and with what means an infrastructure that is used jointly can make a contribution to ecological as well as social sustainability.

In addition, there will also be time and space during the event to become acquainted with initiatives and work with a variety of working groups including, amongst others, the working group Ökologie/Listening to Climate Change of the Initiative für ein Kulturfördergesetz (the Initiative for a Cultural Funding Law), a variety of initiatives and members of the community dealing with the topic of rehearsal and work spaces as well as the state associations for the independent performing arts cooperating within the project Performing Arts - Performing Future.
