Life Hacks for Caregivers

With Elisa Müller (Institut für Widerstand im Postfordismus), Christin Eckart and Christiane Kretschmer (the Berlin Performing Arts Program)

This is not the one millionth event that is seeking to recommend self-optimization tools to parents and other caregivers so that they can fail more efficiently and productively. Structural changes are absolutely necessary in order to make good working conditions and participation possible. And, for as long as these are not implemented, we would like to continue to search for (unconventional) solutions together with you.

What are the biggest obstacles that you face as caregivers working in the independent performing arts? Have you been able to find (partial) solutions or are you still looking for answers?

Please take a moment to complete our brief survey (in German). On the basis of the results of this survey, we would like to present practical solutions with you and for you during the online event, shares some tips and tricks and practice solidary care work together with you.

Specific impulses will come from Elisa Müller, one of the two authors of the guidelines for dealing with care responsibilities in the independent performing arts. In these guidelines, self-obligations for producing institutions and artists (or artist groups), for example, are formulated as well as cultural policy recommendations for actions by funding institutions and political decision makers.

In German spoken language, it is possible to ask questions and make comments using English spoken language
