Beginning work within the independent performing arts community has its quirks and this certainly hasn’t become any easier in the middle of a pandemic. Networking and discussion with each other as well as with experienced theater makers of the independent performing arts community is now especially called for. In this informal Stammtisch (regulars’ table), host Esther Vorwerk invites the participants to discuss the needs and typical questions of newcomers as well as to search together for answers. The Newcomer’s Stammtisch is planned to take place every two months and will address topics such as funding opportunities for newcomers, application showcases as well as the basic structure of the funding system and open them up for discussion.
