Open Call: Shared Trade Fair Stand at the INTHEGA-Kongress in Bielefeld

At the INTHEGA-Kongress on June 29 and 30 in Bielefeld, Berlin-based artists have the opportunity to present themselves and their work at a shared trade fair stand of the Berlin Performing Arts Program.

About INTHEGA

The Interessengemeinschaft der Städte mit Theatergastspielen e.V. (INTHEGA) puts on the INTHEGA-Theatermarkt every vear in Bielefeld and is the leading trade fair for German-language touring theater productions. The members of INTHEGA are cities, communities, associations and additional institutions that are responsible for communal cultural programming and work with the producers and providers of touring productions to provide programming.  

Requirements for Participation

A prerequisite for taking part is a long history of professional work within the independent performing arts and a primary residence in Berlin. In addition, each participant must have at least one production that has already premiered and is capable of being toured that can be presented at the trade fair with corresponding print and possibly video trailer material.

Who Is This Open Call Intended For?

We would like to give as many artists as possible the opportunity to take part. We do, however, reserve the right to make a selection on the basis of the promotional material provided in the event that there are more applicants than there is space. In any event, we ask the registered groups to please send only one representative to Bielefeld.

What Should Be Submitted?

Anyone who would like to take part is asked to please send a binding application including links with informative digital promotional material (trailer, websites, flyers in PDF form, et cetera - and please send large files in the form of a link to download the files) with the subject “INTHEGA 2026” by June 4, 2026 to: catherine.launay [at] pap-berlin.de (catherine[dot]launay[at]pap-berlin[dot]de)
