Open Call: Instructors for the Information Center as of December 2025
Open Call: Instructors for the Information Center as of December 2025
Please note: This is the open call for instructors. There is a separate one for advisors.
We are on the lookout for experienced members of Berlin’s independent performing arts community with expertise in production-relevant areas and interest in the communication and passing on of their knowledge as well as ideas for formats.
Since 2013, the Berlin Performing Arts Program has supported members of the independent performing arts community through a diverse range of opportunities including information events, workshops and other qualification opportunities. Our range of opportunities are available to all members of the independent performing arts community, free of charge. We offer orientation, the transfer of knowledge, qualification and networking both for newcomers as well as for more established members of the community.
Our range of opportunities have been financed exclusively through a variety of project fundings since 2013. Our new project, Berlin Performing Arts Program – Support, Advisement and Qualification in Transformation, is funded by Berlin’s Senate Department for Culture and Community and the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and will last until September 2027. For this project, we are on the lookout for instructors who would like to pass on their knowledge and their experience concerning producing independently in a variety of different formats.
Formats
The planned formats include information and networking events (3 to 4 hours), brief workshops on topic-specific questions (4 hours), longer workshops for a more in-depth consideration of a specialist area (from 8 hours or 1 day) or ongoing seminar series with multiple dates. Additional format ideas are welcome.
Compensation
45 € per hour (net) including preparation and follow-up work. The instructors agree to document and assess the qualification (participation and/or increase of competence). We will conclude fee agreements for the work as instructors.
Work Period
From December 2025, at the earliest, until September 2027, at the latest.
Scope of Work
Depending upon the format, independent work with a framework contract over the entire period and/or individual orders for formats.
