Sustainable Producing – Tools and Methods

With Anna Mareike Holtz (production manager and sustainability advisor)

Are you responsible for the topic of sustainability in a cultural institution and are you on the lookout for methodical knowledge for participatory transformation processes? Are you asking yourselves which specific tools for creating work sustainably in your own collective are out there? Would you like to know which steps you could take in the organization of your event or your festival when it comes to making changes to meet the requirements for sustainability?

In this workshop, we will show you that there is already a lot of knowledge about these topics and that you don't have to start from scratch. The new catalog of measures “Sustainable Production” from the Bundesverband Freie Darstellende Künste (the Federal Association of Independent Performing Arts, BFDK) and the “Starter Toolkit” for sustainability workshops in cultural institutions from the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development will serve as the basis for this. We will take a closer look at both and test individual methods for the needs and working contexts of the participants.

This workshop is especially intended for emerging sustainability officers and advisors in cultural institutions as well as for everyone who is looking to implement and realize sustainability strategies in their collectives, production locations, performance venues and other structures within the cultural sector.

In German spoken language, it is possible to ask questions and make comments using English spoken language
