The Berlin Performing Arts Market 2025

In the second edition of the Berlin Performing Arts Market, the focus is on knowledge, resources and ideas to create new national and international networking opportunities for members of Berlin’s independent performing arts community.

Together with its guests, the Performing Arts Market will visit two top-class performance venues: Dock11 and Uferstudios. A central part of the programme is the pitching sessions in which the artistic works of 28 artists and groups* will be presented, showcasing the diversity of Berlin’s independent performing arts scene. Over the course of a business lunch, you will meet experts from Kreativ-Transfer / Info Plus, Goethe-Institut, Nationalen Performance Netz (NPN), Berlin’s Senate Department for Culture and Community,touring artists and On the Move. In the afternoon, there will be more pitches held in parallel at both Dock 11 and Ufer Studios. The event will come to an end and bring everyone back together at Uferstudios with a tour and closing drinks.

The Performing Arts Market will take place at the same time as the schedule of events for the IETM Berlin Plenary Meeting, which invites international artists and culture makers in Berlin from May 15 to 17, 2025. If you are an (inter)national curator, festival maker or presenter and you are on the lookout for new work and potential cooperations, than the Performing Arts Market is the perfect complementary event for the ITEM schedule of programming.

Barrier note

Dock 11: The theater auditorium, lobby and hall 3 are accessible at ground level. A mobile ramp can be used to traverse the step at the entrance, which is approximately 10 cm high.

Uferstudios (Heizhaus): Access is provided via a ramp with an incline of 5.2 % as well as additional ramp that is 6.80 m long with an angle of inclination of 6 %

Catering: We will provide a vegetarian lunch. Coffee, tea, water and snacks are available throughout the day.
