Market on Tour – Berlin Performing Arts Market 2025

On May 15, 2025, the second edition of the Berlin Performing Arts Market starts and goes on tour through Berlin with its guests!

The myriad crises and challenges that the members of Berlin’s independent performing arts community are dealing with at the moment make it absolutely necessary to look even more strongly toward national and international opportunities for networking and distribution work. This is why we are placing our focus on exchanges of all kinds for this year’s edition of the market: on knowledge, resources and ideas!

With this in mind, in addition to attending the presentation of the work of the artists who are part of Berlin’s independent performing arts community, we are inviting the local, regional and international participants to visit various spaces with us and to take part in a variety of formats in order to support this exchange between the various members of the independent performing arts community.

The Performing Arts Market will take place at the same time as the schedule of events for the IETM Plenary Meeting, which invites international artists and culture makers in Berlin from May 15 to 17. For this reason, we are inviting all of the members of Berlin’s independent performing arts community to apply for the Open Call Market on Tour – Open Call for the Berlin Performing Arts Market 2025 to present their work at the market as well as inviting all of the other members of the community (curators, presenters, operators of performance venues, producers, et cetera) to do the same and apply for the Open Call Introducing Berlin's Independent Performing Arts Community at IETM. We are looking for non-artistic contributions that offer insights into the Berlin scene, such as thematic talks, workshops, walks, guided tours, picnics with artists or your teams – preferably in cooperation with other participants
